Just wanted to give a more in-depth recap of today. I went to Grimey’s in Nashville for Record Store Day. We got there at 6:30 to wait in line to get our Paramore ‘The Holiday Sessions’ limited-release vinyl and our wristbands to meet them (they were only giving them to the 1st 100 people).
Once we got that, we went to eat and then came back to Grimey’s just in time for Paramore’s acoustic set. Since becoming a fan 4 years ago, I’ve wanted so much to see Paramore play an intimate, acoustic set like this one and I’m so stoked it finally happened. Literal dream come true. They played the Interludes (during which Taylor played the ukelele), Misery Business, Daydreaming, and Still Into You. During their set, Hayley said that she bought her first piece of vinyl at Grimey’s way back when and a lot of us, including myself, told her that their vinyl release that day was our first piece of vinyl. She was stoked! lol
Then we lined up to meet them and get the vinyl signed. They were on a tight schedule due to band practice that afternoon, so we were hurried through the line. I was a little starstruck, I admit, and didn’t say much to Jeremy and Hayley other than “hi” and “thank you”. Then Taylor said he hoped to see me again soon and I told him I’d see them next month in Atlanta and he gave me a thumbs up and enthusiasticallly said “yeah!”. Jeremy also brought Cowboy in a little dog carrier so I bent down to say “hi” to him too ;) (Sidenote: I knew that Hayley was tiny but she seemed so much smaller in person to me :p)
They were all so super nice and friendly and just normal. And they sounded amazing during their performance, exactly like the record. Today ruled so hard and I’m so thankful for everything I experienced today :)
(ps-Nashville has the coolest Paramore fans—they’re so well dressed. I miss both Nashville and Paramore already)
